Rumor: MGM to release Bond on Blu-ray
French website filmsactu.com is reporting today that MGM will release a six Bond titles on Blu-ray in France on November 5, 2008. Our hope is that these releases will soon find their way to the US.
The six titles are reported to be Dr No, Thunderball, Live or Let Die, From Russia With Love, Die Another Day, and For Your Eyes Only. No tech specs or extras have been announced yet. The other 14 Bond films are rumored to be released in the first half of 2009, at the same time Quantum of Solace is released.
Fox/MGM’s release of titles usually happens concurrently with or preceded by a US release which is why there is speculation that a US announcement could soon be on its way. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted as soon as any information is available.
