Lite-On DX-401S Review: Will boost your Blu-ray enjoyment

Tweaktown just reviewed the Lite-On DX-401S and gave it good marks mainly because of its portable form-factor. The most appealing thing about the Blu-ray drive is that it connects via USB 2.0 making it versatile and easy to carry anywhere. The DX-401s is priced at a decent $150-$200 making it an affordable option compared to the standalone players or the PS3. The drive itself has solid build quality and the noise levels are nearly non-existent. Like any external Blu-ray ROM drive that uses 2.0 is that it adds so much more functionality. The only gripe is that it’s lack of DVD writing capabilities but it’s forgivable because it keeps the price down.
