- The Bands Visit - Sony will release this culture clash comedy on July 29th
- I Know What You Did Last Summer - Sony has added BD-Live access and Dolby TrueHD audio to this July 22nd release
- Smart People - coming to Blu-ray from Disney/Miramax on August 12th
- The Missing - has been delayed by Sony with no new date in sight
- Prom Night - will be released in an unrated version, with extensive Bonus View and BD-Live features on August 19th
- Beowulf - final specs and box art are in for this July 29th Paramount release

The Band’s Visit (Sony)

- Sony has announced it will release culture clash comedy, The Band’s Visit on Blu-ray July 29th. It is a comedic tale about a band composed of members of the Egyptian police force who, after heading to Israel to play a concert, find themselves lost in the wrong town. It earned high critical notices in its brief stateside release.

I Know What You Did Last Summer (Sony)

- Sony has released the box art for I know What You Did Last Summer and announced it will have BD-Live access and Dolby TrueHD audio when it releases July 22nd on Blu-ray.
- Video: 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.35:1)
- Audio: Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround tracks in English, French and Portuguese
- Extras: BD-Live access details have not been announced yet. It will have audio commentary (with director Jim Gillespie and editor Steve Mirkovoich, featurette: “I Now Know What You Did Last Summer,” original director short film “Joyride,” music video, and the original theatrical trailer.

Smart People (Disney)

- Disney/Miramax will release independent comedy Smart People on Blu-ray August 12th alongside the DVD release. Disney hopes to breath new life into it on Blu-ray.

- Extras: Audio commentary with filmmakers, the “Smartest People” featurette, deleted scenes, and outtakes.

The Missing (Sony)

- In a last minute announcement, Sony has postponed this week’s release of The Missing. No reason for the delay was given and no new date has been set.

- Extras: 11 making-of featurettes, over a dozen deleted scenes and alternate endings, still gallery, blooper reel, and trio of Ron Howard short films.

Prom Night (Sony)

- Sony will bring an unrated version of Prom Night to Blu-ray this August 19th. It will feature Bonus View and BD-Live feature when it is release alongside the DVD version.

- Extras: Audio commentary with director Nelson McCormick and cast, deleted scenes and alternate ending, and five featurettes (”Bridgeport High Vikings Video Yearbook,” “A Night To Remember: The Making of Prom Night,” “Profile of a Killer,” “Gothic Spaces: Creating the Pacific Grand Hotel,” “Prom Night Photo Album: Real Prom Stories From the Cast”).

Beowulf (Paramount)

- Paramount has unveiled the final box art and specs for Beowulf. It will be presented in its Director’s Cut form, nearly six months after its HD-DVD release.

- Extras: “In the Volume” picture-in-picture commentary that was previously exclusive to the HD DVD version, 16-part documentary “The Making of ‘Beowulf,” 12 deleted scenes, original theatrical trailers, and easter eggs.
