Upcoming Releases Info June 2, 2008

Harold & Kumar 2 Blu-ray High-Res
Todays Blu-ray upcoming releases news includes the release of both Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle and Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay from New Line coming July 29th. The other releases include 80’s cult classic Lost Boys: The Tribe (July 29th) and both Shrek the Third and Madagascar (both Sept. 16) from Paramount.

Harold & Kumar 1 & 2 (New Line)

New Line is giving comedy lovers a double dose with the Blu-ray release of both Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle and Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay on July 29th.
Video/Audio: TBA
Extras: Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay will feature a couple of audio commentaries; ‘with the directors and the stars’ and “the director, the real ‘Harold Lee’ and the guy who plays George W. Bush”. There will be the “World of Harold and Kumar” featurette, 27 deleted scenes, and a George Bush PSA.
Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle will have extras comparable to the previous DVD release.

Lost Boys: The Tribe (Warner Bros)

Warner Bros has announced that Lost Boys: The Tribe, the sequel to the original Lost Boys, will be coming to Blu-ray July 29th.
Video: 1080p/VC-1 video (2.40:1) Audio: Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
Extras: Featurettes “Action Junkies: Extreme Sports-Like Stunt Choreography” and “Edgar Frog’s Guide to Coming Back Alive”, alternate endings, and four music videos.

Madagascar (Paramount)

Dreamworks revealed their plans to bring the Ben Stiller/Chris Rock animated comedy, Madagascar, to Blu-ray September 16th.
It will be released a couple of days before Madagascar 2 hits theaters.
No tech specs or supplemental info has been released yet.
Release date: September 16, 2008 MSRP:TBA

Shrek the Third (Paramount)

Dreamworks says it will debut the highly anticipated Blu-ray version of Shrek the Third, on September 16th.
It will feature all the extras from the standard DVD and HD-DVD release.

Extras: Filmmaker audio commentary, nearly a dozen featurettes, a gag reel, ‘lost’ alternate scenes, music video, and a theatrical trailer.
